Easter Competition : Sat 04 Apr 10:00

Dear Resident, 

Your local Neighbourhood Team will be at the Axminster Easter Egg Competition and Community Event on SATURDAY, APRIL 4TH, at the MINSTER CHURCH GREEN between 10am and 3pm.

The winning Easter egg competition poster designs will be proudly displayed in shop windows in and around the town over the Easter weekend. We hope this will give children who took part a wonderful sense of pride in seeing their artwork showcased within the community. Children will be able to collect a simple map showing participating shops and are encouraged to explore the town, counting how many decorated Easter eggs they can spot in the windows along the way. Once the trail is complete, families are invited to return to the Church Green where children can meet the Neighbourhood Policing Team and receive a small Easter treat.

To make this even more special, the Neighbourhood Policing Team will be joined by the charity Nourish.

In addition to the trail, there will be lots more happening in town throughout the day:

•              Easter crafts and refreshments inside the church along with competition posters on display

•              Meet the Easter Bunny on the Green (1pm – 2pm)

•              Easter Bonnet Parade at 2pm – bring your best creations!

•              Raffle with great prizes

We hope this initiative encourages families to enjoy time together, explore our local shops, and celebrate the creativity of our young people, while continuing to build positive relationships within our community.
